This ten-day tour will take you behind the scenes in three very different cities, to find hidden treasures that are sure to inspire and amaze you.
Your journey begins in Rome, where your private transfer will await your arrival at Fiumicino Airport and escort you to your luxurious accommodation in Via Vittorio Veneto, where La Dolce Vita was filmed. In the evening, you will be able to get your bearings of the city with a relaxing stroll through the cobbled streets.
The following day, your local guide will help you discover the true wonders of the Eternal City. At the Vatican Museum, you will enjoy our signature private visit, which includes a peek into rooms hidden from the general public. Continue exploring Rome and the surrounding area with a visit to the hillside town of Tivoli, known for Emperor Hadrian’s villa and the picturesque gardens of Villa d’Este.
The next morning your private transfer will meet you at the hotel and escort you to Florence. On your first full day in the city, you will be taken on a fabulous tour of the hidden halls of the Vasari Corridor, connecting Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti across the Arno River. In the afternoon you will be free to enjoy the city at your own pace.
The following day will be spent outside Florence, at a luxurious Renaissance villa, sampling the local food and wine with stunning views of the Tuscan hills all around you.
You will then travel north to the world-famous city of Venice to immerse yourself in architecture reminiscent of the Republic’s glorious past. Your guide will take you on a private half-day walking tour of the city, showcasing the wonders of Venice’s historic centre, culminating and the Ducal Palace.
On your second day in Venice a guide will take you to the islands and treasured museums of the city – taking in Murano and Burano and perhaps some of the lesser-known museums along the Grand Canal. On your final day in Venice, your private transfer will meet you at your hotel and take you to Venice’s Marco Polo Airport for your flight home.
Venice needs time. We like the mornings, when the only people out are the workers or the vendors preparing for the market… But nights are nice in a different way – when the last pairs of lovers are making their way back from a romantic dinner to their hotel and the last gondolas are returning home. The fog and the silence that suddenly cover the canals create a magic atmosphere.
If you are looking for a typical Tuscan feast, the one that lasts for hours and has more courses than you can count, ask us to make a reservation at il Latini! You can say this classic trattoria is outstanding due to the number of people waiting patiently out front for it to open its doors at 7:30 pm. Even with a reservation, it might take a while to get you in.
Sure, there are loads of tourists inside, but there are many Florentines too, everyone sitted together at long communal tables under pendulums of prosciutto and salumi hamhocks..
Sometimes to find hidden gems in Rome it's required that you take a look to the city from a different point of view! For example to notice this you need to look up. Between via dei Pianellari and via dei Portoghesi”, in the very center of Rome and near the parliament, there is a unique building with a tower, traditionally called "tower of the monkey". The reason for the name and why there's a Virgin’s statue on top of it, with a lantern lighted every night, is provided by an old legend.
