When you travel through the Chianti Classico area, there is one mandatory stop for all red meat-lovers. During our visit to the Chianti Classico region, we stopped one morning for lunch at the Antica Macelleria Cecchini, Dario's butcher shop in Panzano in Chianti, where we witnessed him chopping huge Fiorentina steaks off a large piece of beef. He effortlessly and skillfully wielded his cleaver and knife, creating a fine stack of steaks.. We passed through the butcher shop to a secret portal then climbed the stairs to the restaurant, as if ascending to a carnivore and Chianti wine heaven;welcome to “Officina della Bistecca”.
Which is the best wine to go with a delightful tuscan meal ? The Mastrojanni wine estate lies in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the southern part of Montalcino, in the Siena area. This is an area with a strong winemaking history and the homeland of Brunello di Montalcino.
